Dynamos Soccer Club

Our Mission

Mission Statement

Dynamos Soccer Club (DSC) is an all-volunteer organization created to provide soccer development programs for the Northfield and Roxbury communities. We are committed to providing safe, instructional, recreational and competitive opportunities for boys and girls to participate in soccer. We encourage positive coaching, mutual respect and good sportsmanship. Participation in Dynamos soccer is intended to build self-confidence, discipline and selflessness as a result of working within and for, team goals.

Player development
is the cornerstone and guiding principle for all of the DSC programs. Our children deserve individual attention in order to assist them in achieving their goals, and to this end we stress informed, sensitive and creative coaching strategies. Teams will not improve without attention to individual player improvement as we believe that Together Everyone Achieves More = TEAM.

Dynamos Soccer Programs

Fall Recreational Program (grades pre-k, k-2):
designed to introduce children to the fundamentals of soccer in a fun and rewarding environment. This program meets once per week on a Sunday afternoon for an hour of skill development and small-sided games.

Fall Team Program (grades 3-6):
building upon the recreational program, players continue their soccer development in grade-based groups which meet once or twice per week for skill-building sessions and the introduction of the team concept and strategies. Games which are 7-on-a-side, are scheduled with other communities to provide experience of the competitive team environment.

Futsal (Indoor) League Program:
boys and girls teams for Under 10, Under 12 and Under 14 age levels are entered into a competitive league for indoor 7 v 7 matches. Players are randomly allocated to the Dynamos teams and no practices are organized, as it is seen primarily a vehicle for personal skill and tactical development during the off-season and prepares children for the Spring Select Program.

Spring Travel Teams (U8 CO-ED, U10, U12, U14 boys and girls):
this select program in contrast to the fall recreational experience, provides the more experienced and motivated soccer player an environment in which advanced skills, tactics and strategies are taught. The expectations, in terms of player/parent commitment and motivation, are greater in order for these athletes to compete at a highly competitive level.
